What a great day for all who took part in the Charity Day. This year the chosen charity was the inclusive play roundabout for the children’s playground, in the Recreation Ground.
The day started with a Brunch, then the traditional Residents v Non-residents of the parish game with a cream tea. The evening was started with a BBQ, a fun casino with Helen Green being the winner (after the Club President admitted he cheated!). The evening was finished off with a hugely successful Charity Auction. The Club are very grateful to all businesses and individuals who not only donated prizes but who bought the items. Also a big thank you to Dennis Butler and his team for organising a brilliant day for a great cause.
Over £1400 was raised at this even – a more accurate figure will be announced once all of the totals are added up!
